About Me
I started doing stained glass so I could replace the plain and ugly toughened wired glass in all the fan lights above the doors in my Victorian Terraced House. Once I started, I couldn’t stop!
When I was made redundant from the Police I moved away from my 30 years in IT to concentrate on my glasswork. I was then based in the Rossendale Valley creating stained glass windows, suncatchers and presentation pieces. I later moved up to East Lothian in Scotland and continued this work firstly in a barn, then in our attic.
I really enjoy creating bespoke pieces working closely with the client. I can work directly from the client’s own designs or produce the designs myself based on discussions with them. I use traditional materials such as coloured glass and lead, as well as Tiffany style foiling techniques for more intricate work. I also like to incorporate unusual items such as horseshoes, tools and motorbike parts.
