Clear Candy Skull Suncatcher

Clear Stained Glass Candy Skull .  This is mainly clear using muffle glass which is textured with smooth small lumps and therefore reflects the light in different ways. It has bright coloured flowers and accents for contrast.  It has a spider web forehead with a bright red textured heart, turquoise and orange diamonds forming one eye and the other eye is a purple and yellow flower. White and clear wispy teeth and a green diamond in the chin. A great fun piece for those who follow  Mexican Dia de los Muertos or Day of the Dead or Catholic All Souls day Day of the Dead although rather than this being sugar it is of course glass!  Rather than using stained glass it is made using traditional Tiffany Foiling technique and framed in lead.  I really enjoyed making this fun piece. It is also skull shaped rather than being made within a square or rectangular frame. Size 9″ x 6.5″ (23cm x 16.5cm) approx
