Testimonials

Here are some opinions of people that matter so much to me, my fantastic clients, some have commissioned one piece from me, others more. The process remains the same, working together to bring to life a piece of artwork that says all they wanted to say, which fits where they want it to fit and carries on giving pleasure year on year.

I met Rae first at Art In the Pen at Skipton, and few months later she was back in touch

"From only a very brief conversation about the sort of outcome I envisaged, Pia was able to create this beautiful depiction of a blue cat for me, as a side panel to complement my front door. She provided samples of the type of glass she recommended and gave me some colour choices then quickly came up with a plan that turned into piece more impressive than I had dared to hope for. Everyone who comes to my house admires my “blue cat” and I am greatly indebted to Pia for sharing her vision and talent with me."

Ray wanted a present for his wife, a scary commission when I saw her wonderful quilts.  It was fun to try and incorporate her work within mine, and I was so pleased they loved the result.

"My wife is a craftswoman, handmade patchwork quilts is her specialism. So when I wanted to present her with a gift to recognise her talent I needed something very special. I wanted that something to be reminiscent of her quilting but using a different medium, and, of course, it had to be beautifully made. I turned to Pia to see if she could reinterpret a quilt in stained glass. Pia proposed a few designs taken from photos of several of my wife’s quilts, agreeing a final specification. I couldn't wait for the glass to arrive, when it did it surpassed all my expectations! My wife shed a tear or two at the beauty of the glass and now has her work of art taking pride of place in her sewing room"

From Joan and Robert who loved all things Wimbledon:

"We love stained glass and we wanted something special for my 70th birthday. We saw Pia’s work at the Rossendale Art Trail and were immediately impressed by it. My piece is tennis related, Art Deco in style and Mondrianesque. Perfect."

"Pia made this design from a photo I supplied. It captures the cat and her personality perfectly. I commissioned it for my daughter’s birthday. She was really pleased with this truly unique gift."

Carol also commissioned the below as she had moved away from her beloved Lancashire:

"I asked Pia if she could make me a Lancashire Rose. The simple yet effective design sits in my kitchen window and reminds me of beautiful times in the red rose county. Couldn’t have asked for a better more constant reminder. It’s certainly a talking point. Pia is very talented and excellent at interpreting your design ideas into something physical and meaningful"

Kay wanted some flowers, but wanted extra to those I had already created
"Pia made this gorgeous sun catcher to my own design, which includes my favourite flowers: poppy, daffodil, daisy and sunflower. It was so simple working with Pia - I emailed my sketch, including the background colours I wanted and she tweaked and improved my design using her expertise and knowledge of how the glass needed to be cut and set. It's so colourful and catches the light beautifully. Everyone remarks on it and asks where I got it and I still admire it every day!".
